The roller coining machine

The roller coining machine first came into operation in Hall in Tirol and enabled the mass production of silver coins in the 16th century. This colossus of a machine is 8 metres in length, 5 metres wide, 2.5 metres high and is unique in the world.

History repeated
The historical mint in the city of Segovia in Spain is the only mint to obtain an original roller coining machine from Hall, just as previously occurred in the middle ages.
